Facing our fears of technology devouring just like we sometimes faced Cyclops and survived by relying on facts

 

The theme of the painting: Tapping into the world of mythological, the balance between nature and humans and history that shaped the architecture on the painting

About this piece of art

This painting is built similar to the blockchain technology, first was the photograph that inspired, then the painting started taking shape, then the visit to the actual place happened, taking the whole world along with me, through this same technology we as a collective fear so much. As my mind touches upon various historical points that shaped and influenced the area, a vision of Hydra comes to mind. Throughout history this particular place had to cut the heads of so many Hydras and yet so many more grew up in it’s place. Those heads were the Empires and as far as the history goes, it was the Greek civilization that first set foot in the area, probably leaving behind so many fantastical stories.

 

Logos of this world seemed to get through only in the limited form, even today it is limited due to many factors of the triangle. Yet, the detached individual can feel the value, wilderness, and those ghosts of history or imagination overlapping all the time. We have to go into the depth, discover the behind and build our own myth before AI is capable to do that better than us. Otherwise, Hydras, Cyclops and Naiads will be searching the souls of those who can’t dive deep into their consciousness and find the treasure.

 

This painting is about three levels of this world, the upper one is depicted by the ruthless mountains, demanding stoic approach of Zarathustrian’s strength. It is only in the upper strata with rarified air that one can touch upon the clarity. No influence of the conscious just pure flow of time and possibilities. It is static, triangular and contains four peaks, which is directly reflected on the fact that our genetics is comprised of four.

 

The middle one is where the emotions, those navigators for the body and mind lead us towards the divine, but only if the mind is already in the upper sphere. The middle sphere is the connecting part never a leader, where the monsters (in my vision Hydras) just surface from the water. Today’s connecting part is the Technium, and we fear it like Ancient Greek feared Medusa, Hydras and Cyclops but just like Greeks conquered those, we will conquer our monsters too

 

The lower part of the painting is the Earth that became shaped according to the measures of Venetian Republic. Just like insects and birds build according to the measures in their genetical impulse, we build as a reflection of our ideological striving. Unlike insects and birds our building is not just functional, but also represents the power, symbols of culture, abstract thinking, it unites and enables further expression of terraforming.

Charlie, Earling and NeptlingMax are floating above the mountains here and while Charlie cannot see, feel, hear, smell or taste due to existence without a body, he can perceive the whole construct of this reality. Meanwhile NaptlingMax is tapping between various dimensions/multiverses as her technologically augmented bodysuite allows her to do so. Earling is the only one at home in this painting, because that is where he was born on a planet Earth.

 

Charlie: Your world is in the state of crystallising between the triangle and technium that distributes power more equally. Aren’t you happy about this so that finally the beautiful but intellectually abandoned places will gain prominence?

 

Earling: Are you sure that we are already there? The activity of the parasites in this particular geographic place is dominant. It will take decades for Hydras and Cyclops to even out the values. The people are too childish, unable to find themselves, look at the traveloid and see the cry for help.

 

NeptlingMax: Didn’t Dante among many of you here on Earth emphasized on the fact that Angels don’t hear the cries, desperations, depressions, melancholia, solastalgia,….and so many other endless emotions coming out of this water, those things are invisible for them. Just like my technology has optimized my body to be at the peak performance at all times, thus eliminating any such lowly emotions, so did the vision of your people recognized the potential of your collective mind.

 

Earling: I suppose that your awareness towards those lowly emotions is only theoretical, you never experienced any of those?

 

NeptlingMax: I did through my learning body. You understand that our civilization so much further from the Sun than yours, have built the way of inhabiting the body at will, and changing them as much as we like. All you have to do is press the button in the clonomaker and the clone with desired genetic alterations will appear and we can use different bodies for different purposes. So my answer is yes and no, my grasp of your emotional spectrum is theoretical to the extent that I can’t feel them in their authenticity. We are civilization IV, which means most fears or heads of Hydras have been cut.

 

Charlie: NeptlingMax, I would like to point out that your technology allows you to perceive me (without a body) whereas Earling was granted this privilege only temporarily while we explore together. Your civilization did very well, and you should certainly be proud of your achievement but your road bodyless existence is not finished as long as you have to rely on technology. There are still few heads of Hydras that you will have to deal as a collective and you still have to make all thoughts pure and noble before it could happen.

 

Earling: This is depressing, you two are talking about existence without a body and Earth down there is still struggling for survival.

 

Charlie: Tempus Fugit, patience Earling, what you see with technology today developing exponentially, will translate onto other areas soon enough, but it needs an enabler. It is always ever only a fertile land that will give any result. Your best bet now in time is not about technology but humanity becoming more inspired, noble and responsible so that it changes faster than technology can manipulate it.
